Ra.Ro. is a robot with surveillance camera suitable for services of environment control and territorial security in general. It constantly analyzes the areas that surround it and, thanks to its technological equipment, collects any anomalies or intrusions, promptly reporting them to the control center.
Fully developed by NuZoo Robotics, Ra.Ro. is the surveillance robot able to perform defined paths in complete autonomy (4 hours of autonomy in full motion) or to be easily controlled by a remote operator. The set of potentialities expressed make it a valid "mobile robotic operator".
Specific functionalities and a range of alarms developed for the world of security and surveillance make Ra.Ro. an innovative and reliable tool in the monitoring of all areas at risk.
It is a robot totally made by us, so it is totally customizable. Clearly they must be customizations that do not distort the mechanical base but must tend to expand the services or devices that can improve the performance offered by the robot. To give some examples: gas detectors or thermo camera, additional cameras.
The experiences and efforts made internally to make the robot easy to steer have paid off. The 3 guidance systems available make it simple and intuitive even for non-experts. Simplicity is flanked by a series of control systems that support the less experienced operator in all phases of driving, so as to make driving simple in every situation. The robot provides a number of features, including an autonomous patrol based on a line-following guidance system. The patrols can be scheduled at will. Ra.Ro. is a system that is open to other systems: thermal cameras or detection systems in general. The openness towards the cloud makes it ready to collaborate with any other system.
The operational capacity has been strongly considered since the beginning of the design. The robot, with all services active at the same time, can operate up to 5 hours.
At the same time, a control system and energy saving, provides to suspend the services not used or not primary to make always active the detection of the video camera prepared for surveillance. Read the technical features
Ra.Ro. is a robot mainly designed for indoor use. The IP54 degree of protection does not make it fully suitable for outdoor use.

It does not require dedicated control software. Thanks to the use of WEB technology, it is sufficient to have installed any browser.
The robot communicates events and alarms acoustically. Equipped with a voice synthesizer, it can "speaks" in 5 different languages.
Ra.Ro. is equipped with a high-definition camera that, when the robot is stopped, detects movements and sends alarms in real time.
This is done through the use of visual markers (15x15 cm) and/or a colored line (line follower).
The robot recharges the battery in complete autonomy, using its own docking station.
It is possible to equip the robot with additional sensors, such as smoke detectors, gas detectors, additional cameras etc.
Ra.Ro. has an IP54 protection and can operate in adverse weather conditions, be it temperature range or rain.
Each user, with his own access credentials, can check the status and information of his "robot fleet" via web, through telemetric data and graphs.
Multiple connection frequencies, Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz, 3G/4G, guarantee an optimal connection in every situation.
The latest generation batteries guarantee an autonomy of 5 hours at full capacity and, at the minimum of services, up to 6 months. Full recharge takes less than 2 hours.
The robot natively integrates the main industrial Buses on the market and offers total expandability, all design being proprietary to NuZoo Robotics.
It is possible to install thermal chambers for night vision and/or to promptly detect the presence of people or animals.
Through the Web interface, the remote operator has full control over the movements of the Ra.Ro. With this driving mode the navigation assistance systems are disabled. It is a useful solution to steer the robot in narrow spaces or in the presence of many obstacles. It is also possible to use a Joypad.
Ra.Ro, through the laser scanner, assists the remote operator during navigation. It avoids obstacles, follows corridors or perimeter walls, facilitates the crossing of gates and stops in case of sudden obstacles. It is the most widely used mode and makes remote control particularly easy, thanks to a "Google Street View" style user interface.
Ra.Ro. is able to move autonomously following a pre-established path. This mode does not require the intervention of a remote operator. It is possible to control the status of the robot, as well as see video streams recorded by the same, integrating with existing systems through API. Currently it uses "line follower" logics but the new navigation version we are testing is based on autonomous mapping.
