System that systematically improves the level of accident prevention at work
In areas defined as dangerous, the system, in addition to guaranteeing the safety of the worker, can recognize personnel authorized to enter for maintenance purposes, thus avoiding access to unauthorized or unsuitable personnel.
The ITT solution operates according to these functional logics. When an operator penetrates the security cloud, depending on the use, different situations can arise. However, when we think about moving vehicles (human-machine anti-collision), ITT allows us to:
- Alert the operator driving the vehicle of the presence of operational personnel on the ground, thanks to the recognition or detection guaranteed by the Active TAG.
- Avoid the generation of false alarms due to fixed obstacles known to the operator
- It guarantees immediate intervention in critical situations, to protect the safety of the worker on the ground
- Overcome the problems generated by any blind spots
increase the level of safety in cases of distractions or situations related to stress and tiredness of the machine operator.
The detection of all information relating to individuals who have come into contact with the safety cloud (or danger area) can be recorded and reprocessed to improve the safety level of the department or production area in question. From a general or systems point of view, we can in all respects define it as an IoT PPE system, an individual protection device that exploits the potential of the Internet of Things to offer safety in the workplace.
If unauthorized personnel attempt, even unintentionally, to access the area or machinery deemed dangerous, the system will alert by emitting an audible and/or light alarm signal, thus highlighting the dangerous situation.

The various machines, such as a forklift, can also be equipped with a touch-screen tablet which provides information relating to the position of the obstacle detected with respect to the vehicle and its direction of travel.
FAQ
This system, thanks to the use of a low frequency, guarantees TAG detection in any situation, even in the face of "blind spots", i.e. when the TAG is hidden or covered by shelves, walls or moving vehicles. A particularly small TAG facilitates its use in every situation. Despite its small size, in-depth research into the Tag's energy consumption allows it to be used for more than 6 months and then recharged with a simple USB connector.
In the field of workplace safety, it offers the best performance within large infrastructure works, quarries, mines, as well as on machinery dedicated to dangerous processes, such as large crushers. In the same way it can be used in the field of man-machine or machine-machine collision prevention.
For specific applications, through specific sensors, ITT can monitor the use of PPE, such as adequate use of safety helmets and safety shoes. A use that significantly increases the level of protection of the worker as a whole.
Magnetic localization
ITT uses "magnetic localization" logic. It operates at a very low frequency (125KHz) and allows for a unique level of precision and repetitiveness of the detected positions, even in the presence of ferrous material or obstacles which usually reduce the effectiveness of other competing systems.
Integrated accelerometer
Thanks to an accelerometer already integrated into the TAG, the system integrates MAN-DOWN detection. A particularly useful function to add to PPE for the active safety of workers in isolated or extremely dangerous areas.
Activation of danger signal
Once activated, the TAG emits an acoustic and visual signal (luminous LED) which warns the worker of the danger if it enters close to a dangerous area (safety cloud).
