The most practical solution for industrial uses and POC development
Geko is a mobile robotic platform entirely developed by NuZoo Robotics.
Totally open and specifically designed for the development of third-party applications, thanks to excellent hardware and software versatility, it can also be used in very different fields.
Perfect for use in technological research, the Geko robotic platform guarantees vast expandability and is based on ROS.
It is a platform created to be customized and developed by third parties. It offers an optimal starting point for various projects and, based on ROS, offers maximum openness to any type of development in the robotics field.
Having created the platform we can offer any service deemed necessary: from support to development up to total responsibility in the realization of the idea.
Being a small development platform, it does not allow weights exceeding 5 kg to be transported.
As a research and development platform, it was created to integrate with other systems.
The robot has an autonomy of 4 hours. Clearly it was not created to guarantee prolonged operational activity.
The driving system exploits the experience gained on previous robots (Ra.Ro.). It has all 3 guidance systems available, making it simple and intuitive even for non-experts. Simplicity is accompanied by a series of control systems that assist the less experienced operator in all driving phases, so as to make driving simple in every situation. See guidance systems
Geko is open to innovation and the extension of its operational characteristics thanks to ROS-based development. Learn more about the features of the operating system here: www.ros.org
The self-analysis of the charge level allows Geko to manage its operation and proceed with self-recharging without the need for intervention by operators or technicians.
Geko can be used in production departments, warehouses or public and educational institutions for diversified and functional uses for the movement of small containers.
Geko works autonomously, moving safely, transporting the assigned load to its destination and reporting any impediments in the assigned route.
As a robot development platform, Geko provides a range of pre-built features that are highly customizable and can be easily integrated with other systems. Its mechanical platform, which has been rigorously tested for years, ensures exceptional reliability.

Battery type: LIFePO4 10Ah
Battery charging: Docking station or manual connector
Controller board: Barebone Intel I5 64bit
Interface: Novalabs low-level interface
Through the Web interface, the remote operator has full control over the Geko's movements. With this driving mode the navigation assistance systems are disabled. It is a useful solution for governing the robot in narrow spaces or in the presence of many obstacles. The possible use of a Joypad is also foreseen.
Geko, through the laser scanner, assists the remote operator during navigation. It avoids obstacles, follows corridors or perimeter walls, facilitates the crossing of gaps and stops in case of sudden obstacles. It is the most used mode and makes remote control simple, thanks to a "Google Street View" style user interface.
Geko is able to move independently following a pre-established path. It is possible to check the status of the robot, as well as view the recorded video stream. It integrates with the various systems already existing on the market through the available APIs.
